Access Culture - Accessibility statement

This accessibility statement applies to the survey you are about to complete about access provision in cultural venues in the UK.

The survey is being operated by Indigo Ltd and will have been sent to you by a cultural organisation that you have visited in the past or are on the mailing list for.

The survey is built on the SurveyMonkey platform, which allows for the creation of accessible surveys. We want as many people as possible to be able to respond to this survey. For example, that means you should be able to:

  • Complete the survey using a keyboard or speech recognition software
  • Zoom in without the text spilling off the screen
  • Navigate and complete the survey using a screen reader with a text-to-speech (TTS) system

The survey has been built using a standard theme to include the right amount of colour contrast and brightness. We have avoided particular question types and settings which are less accessible.

How accessible this survey is

SurveyMonkey has some limitations that may create accessibility barriers for some people. These include:

  • When a question is required, you will see an asterisk next to it. However, if you do not complete it, the platform only allows for a generic error message, rather than one which specifically lists the problem with your response.
  • You cannot complete the survey partially and then return to it.

Alternate versions

We are able to offer an Easy Read version of the survey. Please contact the organisation who sent you the survey to request this.

If you need the survey in another different format, please contact the organisation who sent you the survey and they will pass on your request to Indigo. We’ll consider your request and aim to get back to you in seven days.
